About the Event

The Prince William County Community Foundation and Prince William County Public Schools will host our annual Back-to-School Community Event to increase local school readiness through the distribution of school supplies and other resources to prepare them for the school year.

This year's event will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge.

Backpack/School Supplies Stuffing/Packing

Details:

Join us for a day of community service as we pack backpacks/supplies in preparation for our big Back-to-School Community event on August 3rd. We anticipate distributing over 3,000 backpacks. We have a lot of supplies that are coming in and need to prepare backpacks for distribution. This is a great opportunity to make a visible impact to ensure students are prepared for a great start to the new school year. Refreshments will be served.

Details:

One of the largest events in PWC, this event is to prepare students and families to get ready to go back to school. There will be games, free resources, free giveaways, and so much more. Your efforts will directly support families in need within our community. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities. Please click on the Sign-up Genius link and see where you fit in and signup. Lunch/drinks will be provided for all volunteers.
